Meredith House Swansea
Winner of the Tasmanian Tourism Awards 2006 Peoples Choice Award. Built in 1853, Meredith House has 11 bedrooms. 6 ensuite bedrooms upstairs, a ground floor suite. There are also 4 ground floor Mews studio rooms, 3 with spas, Queen sized bed & single bed, a small kitchenette & dining area & a private veranda on to the garden. We have a comfortable guest lounge where you can relax with a complimentary glass or sherry, or choose something from our extensive Tasmanian wine list which offers the best of locally produced, cool climate wines. We believe a great Bed and Breakfast should provide two essentials, a great bed and a great breakfast! A full cooked breakfast is included in the room rate. We use the best, fresh Tasmanian produce. We are also able to cater for people with specific dietary requirements, such as gluten or lactose intolerance. We stock soy milk, lactose free milk and gluten free foodstuffs. When comparing room prices, remember, a full cooked breakfast is included in all of our room rates. The house sits on a hill overlooking Great Oyster Bay. From the veranda & superior double rooms there are sweeping views of the Freycinet Peninsula. Surrounding the property are beautiful gardens with a gas barbecue & laundry facilities.
